decided to enhance the game system for easier playability
and exploration. Shown below are some of the new features

Change Equipment

Break an Obstruction

Early on in the adventure
you will face several obstructions. Most are unbreakable
until you increase your character's power. After breaking
through you will have brand new areas to explore. |

Item Durability and Maintenance

Most items have an attrition factor or durability. Generally speaking,
the more an item is used, the quicker it will deteriorate. Swords and
armor will lose endurance with continuous use. In your travels you will
encounter someone who is capable of repairing your equipment.

Underwater Exploration

New to King's Field - The Ancient City is the ability for your character
to explore regions that are underwater. Make sure you keep your eyes on the air gauge so you do not drown. |

Obtaining Magic Crystals

An essential aspect of this game is your character's ability to harness and
use magic for both offensive and defensive spells. To do this, you must locate
the Magic Crystals that are found throughout the Ancient City. You will eventually
tap into the Elemental forces of Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Dark, and Light with your magic. |
